{"id":8365,"date":"2022-03-01T14:49:52","date_gmt":"2022-03-01T06:49:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/yesmy-dev.azurewebsites.net\/docs\/non-knowledgebase\/uncategorized\/change-of-plan-from-4g-to-ft5g-prepaid\/"},"modified":"2022-06-20T11:45:32","modified_gmt":"2022-06-20T03:45:32","password":"","slug":"change-of-plan-from-4g-to-ft5g-prepaid","status":"publish","type":"docs","link":"https:\/\/yesmy-dev.azurewebsites.net\/zh-hans\/docs\/faq-zh-hans\/first-to-5g\/change-of-plan-from-4g-to-ft5g-prepaid\/","title":{"rendered":"Change of Plan from 4G to FT5G"},"content":{"rendered":"<ol>\n<li><strong>Am I allowed to switch from my existing Postpaid Service Plan or Prepaid Service to the Yes Postpaid FT5G Service Plan or Yes Prepaid FT5G Service Plan respectively?<br \/>\n<\/strong>Provided always that You have not subscribed to any of the Excluded Service Plans or You are not bound by any contract, You are allowed to switch Your existing Postpaid Service Plan or Prepaid Service with the follows:-<br \/>\n(a) Postpaid Service Plan to the Yes Postpaid FT5G Service Plan; and<br \/>\n(b) Prepaid Service to any of the Yes Postpaid FT5G Service Plan or Yes Prepaid FT5G Service Plan.<\/li>\n<li><strong>What are the Excluded Service Plans?<br \/>\n<\/strong>They are:-<br \/>\n(a) Yes 4G Broadband Bundle Plans;<br \/>\n(b) Fixed Wireless Internet Service; and<br \/>\n(c) Kasi Up Family Plan<br \/>\n(hereinafter shall be collectively referred to as the \u201cExcluded Service Plans\u201d).<\/li>\n<li><strong>How do I switch from an existing Postpaid Service Plan or Prepaid Service Plan to the Yes Postpaid FT5G Service Plan or Yes Prepaid FT5G Service Plan respectively?<br \/>\n<\/strong>You may do so through any one of the channels stated below:<br \/>\n(a) yes.my;<br \/>\n(b) Yes Stores; or<br \/>\n(c) send Us an email at\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:yescare@yes.my\">yescare@yes.my<\/a><br \/>\n(d)\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/onelink.to\/6e8tqc\">MyYes<\/a>\u00a0app<\/li>\n<li><strong>Can I continue to use my existing SIM Card once I have successfully switched to the Yes Postpaid FT5G Service Plan or Yes Prepaid FT5G Service Plan?<br \/>\n<\/strong>No, You can\u2019t since Your existing SIM Card will not be compatible for use with the Yes Postpaid FT5G Service Plan and Yes Prepaid FT5G Service Plan. As such, once You have successfully switched to either the Yes Postpaid FT5G Service Plan or Yes Prepaid FT5G Service Plan, We will proceed to deliver to You at Your delivery address a new SIM Card. You are required to activate the new SIM Card before enjoying the service offerings under the Yes Postpaid FT5G Service Plan or Yes Prepaid FT5G Service Plan. Please refer to the Yes First to 5G Campaign Terms and Conditions for further details on SIM Card activation @ <a href=\"https:\/\/site.yes.my\/tnc\/ongoing-campaigns-tnc\">https:\/\/site.yes.my\/tnc\/ongoing-campaigns-tnc<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>How would I know whether my existing Postpaid Service Plan or Prepaid Service is successfully switched to the Yes Postpaid FT5G Service Plan or Yes Prepaid FT5G Service Plan?<br \/>\n<\/strong>You will receive a notification by way of e-mail or SMS once You have successfully activated Your SIM Card.<\/li>\n<li><strong>How do I activate the SIM Card?<br \/>\n<\/strong>Please follow the steps stated below if Change of Plan via\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/onelink.to\/6e8tqc\">MyYes<\/a>\u00a0app<br \/>\n1. Login to the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/onelink.to\/6e8tqc\">MyYes<\/a>\u00a0app<br \/>\n2. Go to Quick Access, press \u201cActivate SIM\u201d button and follow the self-activation steps on the screen<br \/>\n3. Once your activation is successful, you can now login to your Service account using your phone number and password. You can also login using the TAC method if you cannot find your password<\/p>\n<p>Please follow the steps stated below if Change of Plan via www.yes.my:<br \/>\n1. Please click on the \u201cTrack My Parcel\u201d button in Order Consignment e-mail;<br \/>\n2. Key in your Tracking Number or Order Number to proceed; and<br \/>\n3. Click on \u201cConfirm Receipt\u201d button and key in your last four (4) digits NRIC\/Passport and click on the \u201cSubmit\u201d button.<br \/>\n4. Click on \u201c How to Activate My SIM\u201d button, fill in 5G SIM Card Serial Number and existing Yes mobile number then click on \u201cActivate\u201d.<br \/>\nOnce you received an e-mail on SIM Card activation and You notice that your existing SIM Card\u2019s signal is no longer connected to Yes network, you can then insert the new 5G SIM Card into a compatible smartphone. Please refer to <a href=\"https:\/\/yesmy-dev.azurewebsites.net\/supported-devices\">https:\/\/yesmy-dev.azurewebsites.net\/supported-devices<\/a>\u00a0to determine which of the smartphones may support the 5G SIM Card.<\/li>\n<li><strong>If there is any unused internet data in my existing Postpaid Service Plan or Prepaid Service, will such unused internet data be transferred to my new Yes Postpaid FT5G Service Plan or Yes FT5G Prepaid Service Plan?<br \/>\n<\/strong>No, You will not be able to carry forward any unused internet data from Your existing Postpaid Service Plan or Prepaid Service once You switched to the Yes Postpaid FT5G Service Plan or Yes Prepaid FT5G Service Plan. This means any internet data under Your existing Postpaid Service Plan or Prepaid Service which remains unutilised will be forfeited upon successful activation of the SIM Card.<\/li>\n<li><strong>If I am bound by a contract and I am still within the Contract Period, am I allowed to switch any of my existing service plans?<br \/>\n<\/strong>No, You will not be able to do so.<\/li>\n<li><strong>If I have paid the Commitment Fee under my existing Postpaid Service Plan in a particular calendar month, will such Commitment Fee be pro-rated accordingly in the event I switch to the Yes Postpaid FT5G Service Plan?<br \/>\n<\/strong>The Commitment Fee paid in a calendar month will be pro-rated accordingly and be deducted from the Bill issued in the calendar month succeeding the month when the Yes Postpaid FT5G Service Plan is successfully activated. For example:-<br \/>\n\u2022 Subscriber had paid the Commitment Fee for the month of January 2022 as reflected in the Bill issued in January 2022 under an existing Postpaid Service Plan on 2\/1\/2022;<br \/>\n\u2022 Subscriber had requested for switch of the existing Postpaid Service Plan to Yes Postpaid FT5G Service Plan on 5\/1\/2022; and<br \/>\n\u2022 Subscriber had activated his\/her SIM Card on 8\/1\/2022,<br \/>\nin such instance, the Commitment Fee for the month of January 2022 which is paid on 2\/1\/2022 will be pro-rated and deducted accordingly from the Commitment Fee for the month of February 2022 and will be reflected in the Bill issued in the month of February 2022.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Will there be any changes to the credit limit once I switch my existing Postpaid Service Plan to the Yes Postpaid FT5G Service Plan?<br \/>\n<\/strong>Yes, there will be changes to the credit limit enjoyed by You once You switch from an existing Postpaid Service Plan to Yes Postpaid FT5G Service Plan. For further information on Your enjoyment of credit limit, please:-<br \/>\n(a) Download and Login to\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/onelink.to\/6e8tqc\">MyYes<\/a>\u00a0app;<br \/>\n(b) Click on \u201cprofile\u201d tab; and<br \/>\n(c) click on \u201cAccount\u201d tab.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Will there be any charges imposed when I switch from my existing Postpaid Service Plan or Prepaid Service to the Yes Postpaid FT5G Service Plan?<br \/>\n<\/strong>Yes, there will be charges imposed when You switch to the Yes Postpaid FT5G Service Plan. The applicable charges will depend on the type of rate offerings under the Yes Postpaid FT5G Service Plan subscribed by You. You may refer to www.yes.my for further details.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Will there be any charges imposed when I switch from my existing Prepaid Service to the Yes Prepaid FT5G Service Plan?<br \/>\n<\/strong>Yes, there will be charges imposed when You switch to the Yes Prepaid FT5G Service Plan. You may refer to www.yes.my for further details.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Can I use the balance sum remaining in Yes Credit to off-set against any applicable charges payable during the switch to the Yes Postpaid FT5G Service Plan or Yes Prepaid FT5G Service Plan?<br \/>\n<\/strong>No, You can\u2019t use the balance sum remaining in the Yes Credit to off- set against any applicable charges during such switch to the Yes Postpaid FT5G Service Plan or Yes Prepaid FT5G Service Plan.<\/li>\n<li><strong>What happens to the balance sum remaining in my Yes Credit once I have switched my existing Prepaid Service Plan to the Yes Postpaid FT5G Service Plan?<br \/>\n<\/strong>Any balance sum remaining in Your Yes Credit will be transferred to your new Postpaid Service account under the Yes Postpaid FT5G Service Plan and will be utilised towards payment of the Commitment Fee in the month succeeding the calendar month of Your SIM Card activation. The details on the utilisation of Yes Credit towards payment of the Commitment Fee will be reflected in the next Bill succeeding the calendar month when the SIM Card is activated.<\/li>\n<li><strong>What happens to the balance sum remaining in my Yes Credit once I have switched my existing Prepaid Service to the Yes Prepaid FT5G Service Plan?<br \/>\n<\/strong>Any balance sum remaining in Your Yes Credit will be transferred to your new Prepaid Service account under the Yes Prepaid FT5G Service Plan.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Can I pay the Commitment Fee under the Yes Postpaid FT5G Service Plan by way of Auto Billing?<\/strong><br \/>\nIf You want to pay the Commitment Fee of the Yes Postpaid FT5G Service Plan by way of Auto Billing, You are required to select the Auto Billing option in the <a href=\"https:\/\/onelink.to\/6e8tqc\">MyYes<\/a> app by following the relevant steps stated therein. For clarity, please take note that if You have opted for payment of Commitment Fee under Your existing Postpaid Service Plan by way of Auto Billing, such option will automatically end once You switch to the Yes Postpaid FT5G Service Plan.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Can I change my Yes Postpaid FT5G Service Plan or YES Prepaid FT5G Service Plan to Yes 4G Service Plan?<br \/>\n<\/strong>Yes, please ensure You are not bound by any contract. Once You have successfully switched to Yes 4G Service Plan, We will proceed to deliver to You at Your delivery address a new SIM Card.
